I love, love a good love story. I’m the girl who loves to ask:
It can be so fun to hear people’s love stories, watch both their faces light up at the memories, and listen to their testimonies of how God provided them a spouse.
But what happens when you keep hearing dozens, if not hundreds, of love stories, yet your own remains conspicuously absent?
Is there a small part of you that feels envious of them? Or maybe you do your best to be happy for them, but simultaneously can’t help but feel sorry for yourself?
I have been there, sis. As a matter of fact, I am currently still there.
I have been waiting on God to send me my person and have instead been witness to everybody and their mama finding their One…and sometimes their second, third, and fourth…
So what’s a girl to do when you feel like maybe your name has fallen through the cracks of God’s list of received prayers?

But lately, if you’re honest, every answered prayer in someone else’s life feels like a reminder of the silence in your own. You know the Bible says that envy rots the bones (Proverbs 14:30), yet you’re at the point where you feel like, “So what? Let them rot, then, because I am tired!
Can I be honest? It can be hard to keep praying and waiting patiently, especially when you feel like you’ve been the “faithful one.”
Yet, it feels like your prayers stop at the ceiling while someone else who just whispers “God, I want…” gets their prayer answered overnight.
It feels like God is Santa for them — bringing them gift, after gift, after gift — but all He has for you is nothing…or a lump of coal.
I’m here to tell you this one truth: feeling that way doesn’t make you faithless. It makes you human.
I’ve felt that. Deeply. I’ve sat listening to worship music or journaling with tears rolling down my face. I know God loves me, yet I’m not sure why He keeps saying “wait” — or worse, nothing at all.
So if you’re there right now, feeling like you’re the only one not getting picked, not getting loved, not getting your miracle, I want to shine some light into some of the lies the enemy may be whispering to you.

Sis, you’re not meant to walk this out alone.
I know it’s hard. I know it feels unfair. But God does not love her more than you. As a matter of fact, God can’t love you anymore or any less than He already does!!! You are precious to Him.
As long as you live on this earth, you will experience pain/disappointment. Your pain, suffering, or loss is not proof that God doesn’t love you. It’s proof that you’re human in a broken world, holding onto hope. In spite of what the devil would have you believe:
You are deeply, fiercely, forever loved. Trust that even now, God is working on your behalf. Don’t believe the lie. God loves you dearly, and He cannot forget about you.
